Good Jobs, No College

Suppose you just graduate and are looking for a way to earn a good amount of money to prosper in life? I think that’s a question most people tend to think about. Jobs, everybody wants one when they get out of high school. Some would rather go to college and get an education to get good paying jobs that will help them succeed in life. For others, college is just not their style, and that’s totally okay because there are always other good paying jobs in the world that do not require you to have a college degree of any sort.

Now, a few common jobs that do not require a college degree that people have heard of are real estate agents and construction workers. It’s pretty easy to become a real estate agent. They also make about $3,333 to $12,208 a month. That’s a lot, if you ask me. Besides the point that you make good money with this job, it’s really beneficial because you can adjust it to your own personal schedule, it’s really good for business growth, and not only are you helping your clients, you’re helping yourself also. Although there are pros of becoming a real estate agent, most people fail within the first five years for reasons such as not being able to follow up with their clients or just their market not selling fast enough. On the other hand, construction workers make $2,208 to $4,250 a month. That’s pretty good if you ask me to be just building things and using tools.

But maybe you want to be more of someone with action. Firefighters, commercial pilots, flight attendants, and electricians are only required to have their GED or high school diploma. People actually look down on jobs like flight attendants and commercial pilots, but a flight attendant’s salary per month ranges between $2,000 to $10,708. A commercial pilot’s salary per month averages $5,201. Both flight attendants and commercial pilots have jobs that require you to be on a plane, so if you are scared of heights, this is not the job for you.

You probably wouldn’t believe me if I said that was only a fraction of the list of good paying jobs that don’t require a college degree. Most believe that to get a good paying job you need to go to college. In some circumstances that is true. For example, to be a nurse you have to go to college for that and do a lot of training. A lot of college actually, up to four to seven years. Yes, being a nurse is an important job and one of the most common jobs people go to college for, but jobs like firefighters are just as important in life.

Many generation Z members are tired of school. They feel relief when they get to walk across that stage and graduate. But then it hits them that they are an adult. Paying bills, moving out of your parents house, buying your own groceries, paying your car bill and insurance— it all costs money, so a job is needed.

Now, I’m not telling you to get a job without going to college because of the cost of it. I am telling you if you are a person who feels like you are done with school after you graduate, there are plenty other jobs. Jobs out there for you that still pay as well as being a nurse, detective, lawyer and other jobs like them. College isn’t for everyone you know.
